Wifi protection

So I was sitting in front of my Wii. Laptop on the table beside me. Life is good. All of a sudden I hear my girlfriend calling that her internet isn’t working. Which well is weird since my laptop has internet and the Wii. Ah well lets take a look. So I turn of and on the wifi on her Windows XP installation. And now it works again. But I also get to see the list of available access Points. 8 of them… Including my own.

Now isn’t that weird since almost everyone here has wifi. But i was surprised to see 1 unprotected, 1 WEP, 5 WPA and only 1 (mine) WPA2 protection. I mean common people.. It is your internet connection. Now you don’t have to worry about bandwidth here. But still most people here use Internet Banking. Now WPA2 is also beatable but it is much harder than WPA and much much harder than WEP. But unprotected…. I just still can’t believe that…
