My Gentoo Adventure.. [part 1]

by rullzer on Dec.04, 2005, under Gentoo

In a dark dark night in the year 2000 a little boy was instralling linux on his PC. And exept for his keyboard, mouse and empty glass on his desk. The only thing you could see was his monitor. Sending out light into the world. After some long hours of waiting. The boy begun his adventure. However this boy was frustraded that he could not play his games. And he was even more frustrated that he could not even install decent drivers for his video card. So linux had to go.

That was in a few lines my history with linux. From now on i won’t be sycrofrenic anymore.
Anyway, with the start of my new education i decided to give linux a change again. So i started with Fedora. We run that at school (me and my imaginary friends). However i was far from satisfied with Fedora. It did not do what i wanted. It did not give me freedom. It was just M$ but from red hat that time… So i started crying. And soon some nice people helped me out. And so i switche to gentoo.

Wich is what i’m running at this very moment. And i have to say i feel like larray the cow. It works wonderfull. Fast stable. And only does what iwant. Wich is something i have to get used to. Since my wifi is not working at all yet.

At this moment my brain is multithreading my head of. Because it is frustrating not everything is just working.

Ofcourse i’ll let u all know how it end. Or if i die, when my brain get overheated, someone else will post it for me.
